Why You’ll Fail to Have a good Career
This video is pretty awesome. Larry Smith may not be the smoothest speaker in the world but he speaks with an incredible passion and conviction.
There are a lot of people out there saying how you should find what your passions are, find out who you are and then devote yourself to that. However, there are a LOT of mental clutter and fears that stand in the way to living a life like that. A lot of excuses we make to others and more importantly ourselves. In this talk, he speaks of a few important ones that seem to come up a LOT and explains why he thinks they are invalid… I especially enjoyed the bit about why you shouldn’t use your children as a reason to not follow your dream (as in “I want to spend time with my kids, I don’t have time to follow my dream”).
15 minutes well worth spending.
